Iconic Perspectivism

As the perspectivist philosophy (1 ) describes, objective knowledge cannot be attained from an individual perspective. Photography has never been an objective aspect of visual communication. Images provide a subjective view (2) of a specific moment in time and can have different interpretations throughout history (3).
As a student, I practiced examining the point of view and exploring visual semiotics. For instance, by coincidence, the graffiti of the dictator Franco's name aligned with a cinema poster. From the same vantage point, but looking downwards, two luminous objects appeared: the white cigarette butt and the yellow logo of a political party adhered to the pavement.
