In the era of chemical photography, it served as a key visual communication (1) tool in architecture and urban representation. With the rise of CGI, photographic vision has been incorporated into architectural designs, broadening both visual and conceptual opportunities.

CGI relies on the same principles as traditional photography (camera, optics, lighting...), yet it replicates these through algorithms in computer software (2). In digital photography, the pixels of a real image are transformed into numerical data, facilitating the creation of images that simulate reality. Furthermore, specialised software permits precise control of sharpness and the application of blur effects.

The dimension of time can also be integrated into CGI projects in architecture and photography. For example, Alex Roman (3) blends photographic and architectural elements to create an immersive vision in the realm of fiction. In architecture, Zaha Hadid (4) used 3D animation to explore the interaction between space and light, transforming the perception of architectural structures.
