During the academic year 2009/2010, the Escola Casa Masferrer(1) (Casa Masferrer School) engaged in a participatory process for developing a park in Vic. A recreational space was proposed for everyone, featuring no architectural barriers, free wifi access, and a large interactive screen (2 )(for playing computer games in the street or sharing live concerts with other communities). In the background, it was suggested that a large-format image2 of the Estudiants de Vic (3)(Vic students), the oldest users of those buildings, which were an old Seminar, be installed.

Video screens have become prevalent on the facades of commercial buildings in large metropolitan areas (4). In this image management project, a new depiction of the city is showcased, going beyond some of the activities that take place within the interiors of homes4. The archaeologist Eudald Carbonell (5) describes the future as a projection of the visions from the present. Recently, amidst disruptive changes, not everyone experiences and understands the same present (6).

In 1989, the Escola Casa Masferrer (Casa Masferrer School) was founded from the merger of the activities of the Escola Municipal de Dibuix (Municipal School of Drawing) and the Institut Fotogràfic d’Osona (Photographic Institute of Osona). Digital innovation and the creation of projects linked to visual communication were incorporated into the centre's training tasks. In 2011, this centre became La Farinera, Centre d’Arts Visuals de Vic (Visual Arts Centre).
